Anne Celeste Heche is an American actress who is known for her wide variety of roles across film as well as television and the stage. Carpenter says that he would like her to play the role but that she turned the offer down. Anne does not remember being approached with the name of John Carpenter nor being offered the job. The possibility is that her agent turned it down without informing Anne. Glen Larson, who had provided her with the first draft script of a part in the tv show Battlestar Galactica from 1978, initially chose her. She rejected the role initially because the character was not that strong. Glen developed a different character to play Sheba that was stronger. She was able to accept the Living Legend's script after she read the first 25 pages. It lasted for just one season. She was in Joyride the 1977 film with Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine (son Desi Arnaz Jr. Lucille and Lucille) and alongside Robert Carradine. In 1987 she appeared alongside Michael Moriarty and The Dark Tower.
